The National Combat Medical Memorial shall be
highlighted by the 'History Walk' located in a
densely wooded area leading from the parking lot
to the botanical gardens and memorial wall.

The Walk itself will be a wide path through the
dense woods which will lead to large clearings
where actual combat areas from all the wars and
conflicts in which the United States has been
involved from the Civil War forward will be
re-created.

The Walk will allow the visitor to see actual
conditions their forefathers, family or friends lived
and fought under during their service to America
in that time period.

During the summer months, students and
veterans will dress in period militarily clothing and
conduct demonstrations, provide information and
answer questions relating to the specific period
depicted at their clearing.

The Walk is designed to educate all those who
experience it, explaining first and foremost 'how'
the United States became involved in the war or
